Jackson Township has officially opened its new Splash Park located at the Justice Complex. The Splash Park is designed for children under the age of 12, does not require lifeguards or supervision and is free of charge. The park resembles a baseball diamond and soccer field; it includes a giant baseball mitt that pours water over children as they run under it, and a giant soccer ball acts as a sprinkler that sprays water. Surrounding the splash grounds are benches and aesthetically pleasing landscaping. The park is designed to withstand high levels of use and be visually appealing.
FPA prepared a limited topographic survey of the area and final engineering plans for the Justice Complex Splash Park which consisted of park equipment, a concrete splash pad with a rubber surface on top, connection to existing utilities located within the existing baseball comfort station, associated bituminous concrete walkways to the splash park, a modular block retaining wall and site furnishings. Additionally, FPA provided splash park layout, grading and drainage around the splash park, and utility connections. The utility connections consist of the water connection to the Rain Drop water manifold and the drainage to the existing storm system.
