FPA provided engineering design and construction management services for the emergency repair of approximately 100 feet of the Western Embankment along the Feeder Canal portion of the Delaware & Raritan Canal at Stockton, New Jersey.  The 20-foot-high embankment failed on June 29, 2006 resulting in flooding in the Town of Stockton.  The failure was caused by high flood levels on the Delaware River from heavy rainfall from June 24th to June 28thth.  Repair plans, specifications and contract documents were prepared and pre-bid meetings held with contractors within 24 hours on June 30th.  A construction contract was awarded on July 3rd, repairs started on July 5th and construction completed by August 1st.
