FPA provided design for the installation of new traffic signals at the previously unsignalized intersections of Marin Boulevard and 2nd Street and Summit Avenue and Poplar Street.
This project was funded under the FY2013 NJDOT Annual Transportation Program and consisted of minor roadway and drainage work, replacement of curb, pavement, handicap ramps and sidewalk facilities associated with the installation of traffic signals at two intersections within the city limits. Given that the design improvements were on a fast track with delivery of the final PS&E package within approximately 45 days from project authorization, close coordination with the City was imperative in order to meet the project deadline.
FPA provided the City with completed PS&E documents for both signals within the compressed schedule. FPA prepared LTS and Electrical Plans consistent with the current edition of the MUTCD as well as ramps and sidewalks within the intersection box that comply with current ADA and PROWAG guidelines.
