FPA was retained by Monmouth County to provide the necessary engineering services for the replacement of Bridge MN-28, on Dey Grove Road over Manalapan Brook in the Township of Manalapan, Monmouth County, NJ. The project is currently under construction and includes the removal of a 40-foot-long, single-span, steel stringer and timber substructure, and the construction of a single span, 46-foot-long, prestressed concrete voided slab bridge with composite deck founded on reinforced concrete abutments supported on 12” diameter cast-in-place piles. Three out of the four corners of the bridge are Green Acres encumbered and the entire project was designed without requiring the diversion of Green Ares property.
FPA prepared the required contract plans and specifications in accordance with Monmouth County standards and is currently performing the Construction Engineering Support Services for the project. The plans included construction plans, topographic maps, grading plans, erosion control plans, traffic control plans, profiles, cross-section, and typical sections. FPA also prepared NJDEP and Soil Erosion permit applications.
