The Quarter Mile Lane Elementary School included 91,000 square feet of new construction, including a new three-story classroom wing, a multi-purpose room, cafeteria, kitchen, gymnasium and locker rooms. The project increased the capacity of the existing facility by nearly 500 students.  The project also included renovations to the existing 33,000 square foot facility to accommodate Pre-K classrooms, offices and support facilities.

FPA provided Civil/Site, Survey, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering services as part of the Design/Build Construction Documents for the project in accordance with the NJSDA design standards.  FPA’s services included Topographic Survey, Subsurface Geotechnical Investigation, CAFRA Applicability Determination, Freshwater Wetlands Letter of Interpretation – Presence/ Absence and Permit Application; Stormwater Management System in conformance with the NJDEP Stormwater Rules; and preparation of grading, utility, Soil Erosion and Sediment Control, and landscaping plans.  FPA also provided structural engineering design for the addition and renovations utilizing a combination of masonry bearing walls and steel framing.
