Special Inspections

When You Need Them, We Can Do Them

As per the NJDCA – Special Inspection Services are required in Chapter 17 of the International Building Code for Class One Buildings*. French & Parrello Associates can provide Certified Special Inspectors for the following inspections:

Reinforced Concrete
Concrete Placement
Pre-stressed Concrete
Structural Steel — Bolting
Structural Steel — Welding
Structural Masonry
Spray-applied Fireproofing

The DCA has developed a certification program over the past several years and effective November 6, 2008, all Class One Structures that are permitted subsequent to the effective date require a Statement of Special Inspections and a list of the designated Certified Special Inspector(s) for each of the listed required Special Inspections. An updated list of the Certified Special Inspectors is maintained on the DCA website.
