Essex County Wynona Lipman Family Courthouse Dedication
The new Essex County Wynona Lipman Family Courthouse in Newark, New Jersey, stands as a tribute to Wynona Lipman, the first African American woman elected to the New Jersey State Senate. At the July dedication ceremony, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. reflected on Senator Lipman’s tireless advocacy for families, women, and children, fighting against domestic violence, making this modern facility a fitting honor to her decades of service.
The eight-story, 250,000-square-foot courthouse brings together family court services that were once spread across multiple locations in Newark, creating a secure, efficient, and state-of-the-art hub for the county’s family judicial system.
French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is proud to have contributed to this milestone project by delivering the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, IT/data, security, and audio-visual engineering design and construction services for the facility.
