Megan DeMatteo Leads High School Outreach in Toms River
Megan DeMatteo and Alex Saltzman, LSRP of the French & Parrello Associates (FPA) Environmental Department, recently had the opportunity to visit Toms River High School East to deliver a professional presentation to students interested in learning more about the environmental industry. Megan DeMatteo led the presentation, engaging with approximately 60 students in the school’s STEAM Academy about potential career paths within the environmental field.
The STEAM Academy is a specialized, career-focused program at Toms River High School East that integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through interdisciplinary coursework in biomedical science, engineering, and environmental sustainability.
As a former Chair of the New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association (LSRPA) Aspiring Professionals Committee and a current member of the Board of Trustees, Alex organized the presentation in support of the committee’s mission to engage, educate, and foster the professional development of emerging environmental professionals.
FPA is proud to support initiatives that introduce students to the diverse career opportunities available within the AEC industry. Providing early exposure to the environmental profession helps students develop a stronger understanding of the field and make informed decisions about their future. By engaging with and supporting the next generation of professionals, FPA is investing in the continued growth and long-term strength of the environmental industry.
