French & Parrello Associates (FPA) provided professional engineering and consulting services for Azalea Red Bank, a luxury townhome development located in Red Bank, New Jersey. The goal of this project was to create a residential community that blended seamlessly with the surrounding community, which was largely established in the 19th and early 20th centuries. This was achieved by employing traditional architecture styles and site features, including lantern shaped site lighting, old fashioned furnishings, and brick walkways and walls. The symmetrical path and open space design surrounding the buildings also helped to reinforce the traditional themes of the project.
FPA’s scope on this project included Site Plan Design, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Services, Survey Services, as well as Structural Engineering for the building foundations. The landscape design enhanced the community’s outdoor spaces by providing a four-season plant palette of color and interest. Particular emphasis was given to properly place the plants in such a way that they created a series of outdoor spaces for the residents to enjoy. The design also included a variety of azalea shrubs through the site in recognition of the project’s name.
Developed by Roger Mumford Homes, Azalea Red Bank sits on an approximately 0.85 acre site near the heart of Red Bank, and features 14 luxury townhomes.
The project received a 2026 SAM Award for Best Landscaping Design in a For Sale Housing Community.
