Brookside Main Street Improvements

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) was retained by Mendham Township to provide roadway improvement design, permitting, stormwater management, and construction administration services to East and West Main Streets in the Brookside neighborhood of Mendham Township, New Jersey.

FPA’s design plans consisted of the mill and paving of the road in the Brookside Historic District. New stormwater inlets and grates were installed to comply with NJ’s stormwater requirements. Additionally, the walking path for Mendham Elementary School was moved from narrow street to the roadway, designed to meet ADA compliancy standards. The road was also restriped to conform with MUTCD requirements. This project serves a post office, an elementary school, the municipal building, the police department, the brookside community center, and local parks. These improvements were partially funded through NJDOT funds.
