French & Parrello Associates (FPA) was retained by Comito Associates to provide engineering and consulting services for a new Essex County Department of Public Works Building, located on Grove Avenue in Cedar Grove, NJ. The ± 41,000 square foot complex features new spaces to store department vehicles, equipment and supplies, and includes updated workspaces for staff. The building is located in close proximity to the main DPW building on West Bradford Avenue, and is intended to enhance operations, and provide additional storage for resources that were previously outside.

FPA provided Comito Associates with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services, as well as fire alarm and fire protection design. The MEP scope included design of an Emergency Power Generator, HVAC systems for the office areas and low voltage systems (card access, video surveillance, data networking).
