Joseph Strafaci Joins FPA’s Transportation Group
WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is pleased to announce the addition of Joseph R. Strafaci, PhD, PE to its Transportation Group. With over 15 years of engineering and project management experience, Dr. Strafaci brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in structural design, construction, and urban planning.
Dr. Strafaci is a distinguished structural engineer and academic, with a career that spans key infrastructure projects and thought leadership in sustainable urban environments. His experience includes leading strategic assessments and multimillion-dollar urban planning initiatives that have strengthened infrastructure across the Northeast United States. As a committed educator, he also serves as an adjunct professor, fostering the next generation of engineering talent and bridging the gap between industry and academia.

Dr. Strafaci earned his PhD and Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Rutgers University, his MBA from Monmouth University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The College of New Jersey. He has received several honors, including recognition as one of ENR’s Top Young Professionals, and is deeply involved in mentoring through the “Transportation You” program. His industry leadership includes active membership on The College of New Jersey’s Civil Engineering Industry Advisory Board and key committees within the Transportation Research Board (TRB), where he contributes to advancing transportation equity and innovative infrastructure design.
