WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is excited to welcome two key professionals to its Water & Wastewater Group, further enhancing its capabilities in the sector. Brian T. Dougherty, PE, BCEE and Andres Otero, PE joined the company this Fall and will be operating out of its Wall, New Jersey Headquarters. These talented new team members exemplify FPA’s commitment to expanding its expertise and enhancing its capabilities to better serve its clients and drive future growth in the sector.

Brian T. Dougherty, PE, BCEE will be Manager of Water & Wastewater, responsible for developing and managing the Water & Wastewater Team and helping to expand its services throughout the region to clients in the public and private sectors. He will be instrumental in mentoring staff, providing technical support to clients, and helping to deliver challenging projects in a safe, technically sound, timely and innovative manner. Mr. Dougherty, a licensed Professional Engineer and Nationally Board Certified Environmental Engineer, has over 28 years of engineering experience in the sector, and has a proven track record of success across a wide variety of complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Andres Otero, PE will be a Project Manager, responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver challenging infrastructure projects for clients across the region. Mr. Otero, a licensed Professional Engineer, has over 13 years of experience with a focus on designing, permitting, bidding, and assisting clients construct water supply, distribution, storage and treatment projects, as well as other types of utility projects.

FPA’s Water & Wastewater Department offers clients a breadth of experience and knowledge in the planning, evaluation, design, and construction of water and wastewater utility infrastructure projects; this includes water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution, as well as collection, conveyance, and treatment of wastewater. The department has experienced exponential growth under the leadership of Director Eric C. Betz, PE, BCEE CME, who has developed a team of ambitious, technically savvy, and responsive engineers to assist clients in delivering on challenging projects. Mr. Betz formerly served as a Senior VP and Development Manager for the US Northeast Region at Mott MacDonald and has more than 33 years in engineering, management, and business development experience within the water, transportation, building, and energy sectors.

“Since I joined the company, our main goal has been to consistently strengthen our capabilities in the sector and become an industry leader, and I believe we’re doing just that,” explained Mr. Betz. “With Brian and Andres coming onboard, we will be able to accelerate our growth and provide our clients with responsive, technically excellent, and innovative engineering support in a timely and cost-effective manner. We’ve accomplished much in a short period of time, however, we’re just getting started!”
