FPA’s Interns Have Lunch With the CEO
This week, President & CEO Steven Tardy, PE hosted a lunch for FPA’s Summer 2025 Interns.
The company’s 2025 summer interns are embedded across all departments, including Building Design, Land Development, Transportation, Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Environmental, Geotechnical, Construction, Marketing, and Information Technology. They represent universities from across the country, including Rutgers University, Clemson University, University of California Irvine, Stevens Institute of Technology, Lafayette University, the University of Vermont, Villanova University, Wilkes University, Syracuse University, and Penn State University.
This special event, offered exclusively to interns, provided a unique opportunity to have a engaging group conversation with Mr. Tardy, covering a wide range of topics. Mr. Tardy also shared insights from his early years as a young staff engineer, often out in the field, and how he navigated challenges early in his career.
As an annual tradition at FPA, this event holds particular meaning because Mr. Tardy himself began his career as a Summer Intern at FPA more than 30 years ago, walking a path similar to the one today’s interns are experiencing.
The event underscores FPA’s commitment to career development, mentorship, a positive company culture, and innovation. Positive feedback was exchanged in both directions, with many interns motivated to seek further mentorship opportunities during their remaining weeks at FPA.
