French & Parrello Associates (FPA) was retained by Mills + Schnoering Architects to provide professional engineering services for the renovation and expansion of an existing building located at 47 Central Avenue, Newark, New Jersey. The renovation and expansion of the building is meant to provide a new space for the Rutgers University Newark Alumni Center. The project includes new conference rooms, office space and other resources for students and staff.

The Rutgers University Newark Alumni Center was chosen as a recipient of a 2021 New Jersey Historic Preservation Award. The existing structure prior to renovation was originally built in 1885.
