1. Princeton University in Princeton, NJ
   • Princeton University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science offers a diverse range of majors within its Civil and Environmental Engineering program, including architecture and engineering, environmental engineering, geological engineering, structural engineering, and more. Princeton students are encouraged to explore multiple departments, fostering interdisciplinary knowledge and a well-rounded educational experience.
   • The school enrolls about 5,500 undergraduate students annually.
   • Of the Princeton Class of 2023, 88.8% reported their desired post-graduation outcomes. Among these, 61.4% accepted employment, and 25.5% pursued further education. (Source)
2. Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ
   • Rutgers University’s School of Engineering offers 10 different majors for students to explore. Within the major of Civil and Environmental Engineering, students can research construction engineering and management, geotechnical engineering, infrastructure engineering, structural engineering and infrastructure materials, transportation engineering, and water resources and environmental engineering.
   • Over 36,000 undergraduate students enroll in this public school each year.
   • The university’s Class of 2023 reported an overall placement rate of 89% within six months of graduation. For the School of Engineering specifically, the placement rate was 91%, with 75% employed and 15% pursuing further education. (Source)
3. Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ
   • The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Ocean Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology is part of the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science. Stevens’ engineering programs feature comprehensive curriculums that build strong foundational knowledge while offering specialized course sequences. These pathways provide students the flexibility to focus on areas such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources, environmental engineering, or construction management.
   • Undergraduate enrollment reaches about 4,000 students each year.

   • NJIT’s Newark College of Engineering is renowned for its robust academic programs and commitment to innovation. With a strong emphasis on practical learning, students can specialize in areas such as structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources, and environmental engineering within the Civil and Environmental Engineering program. NJIT fosters collaboration with industry leaders, providing students with invaluable real-world experience through internships, research opportunities, and co-op programs.
   • NJIT serves approximately 10,000 undergraduate students annually.
   • Among the Class of 2023 undergraduates, 94.8% secured full-time employment or had plans for continuing education within six months of graduation. (Source)

   • Rowan University’s Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering is celebrated for its hands-on, project-based learning approach and close-knit community. The Civil and Environmental Engineering program offers students opportunities to explore diverse fields such as structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources, and environmental engineering. Rowan emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and sustainability, preparing students to address real-world challenges effectively.
   • The university enrolls over 15,000 undergraduate students annually.
   • For the Class of 2023, the university’s average placement rate within six months of graduation ranges between 90% and 100% for the different engineering programs. (Source)
