Wall Township, New Jersey, September 24, 2026 – French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is pleased to announce that Matthew Kearney, PE, has been named Director of Transportation – Design and Construction Services. In this expanded leadership role, Kearney will guide a multidisciplinary practice that brings together FPA’s Bridge, Highway, and Construction Engineering professionals.

With more than 20 years of experience delivering complex transportation infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region, Kearney brings a broad perspective spanning bridge and roadway design, construction engineering, project and program management, and the rehabilitation and replacement of critical infrastructure. He works extensively across FPA’s Transportation practice and serves as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for many of the firm’s clients.

Kearney’s career at FPA has included roles in materials testing, geotechnical and bridge design, inspection and resident engineering, project management, construction engineering leadership, regional management, and corporate leadership. He also serves as a Senior Vice President and member of FPA’s Board of Directors. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to build strong teams and client relationships, navigate complex challenges, and develop the professionals around him.

FPA’s Bridge, Highway, and Construction Engineering groups will be brought together under Kearney’s leadership. The integrated structure brings three closely connected disciplines together, strengthening collaboration throughout the full project lifecycle—from early planning and design through construction and final delivery.

By connecting its design and construction professionals more closely, FPA will further incorporate field experience and constructability insight into the design process. At the same time, construction professionals will have greater opportunities to engage earlier in projects, share practical knowledge from the field, and contribute to solutions that are efficient, resilient, and responsive to client needs.

The integrated Transportation and Construction Engineering practice will build on FPA’s established client relationships and experience throughout the region while creating greater opportunities for collaboration across disciplines. The structure will allow FPA to bring the combined experience of its design and construction professionals to projects from initial development through construction, strengthening project delivery and positioning the firm to pursue increasingly complex transportation assignments.
