Two FPA Projects Recognized at Alliance for Action Awards

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) was proud to attend the New Jersey’s Leading Capital Construction Projects Awards Program on March 24, hosted by NJ Alliance for Action, where two of the firm’s projects were recognized for their impact and excellence. This event brought together industry leaders from across the state to celebrate outstanding achievements in infrastructure and development.

Among the recognized projects were Monmouth County Bridge MA-11 Replacement and the Middlesex County College Multipurpose Community Venue and Student Center.

The Monmouth County Bridge MA-11 Replacement project addressed longstanding structural deficiencies and chronic flooding along a critical roadway in Matawan. The project replaced the aging structure with a modern single-span bridge and included elevating the roadway above FEMA flood levels, significantly reducing flood risk and improving long-term resiliency. By eliminating in-water supports and enhancing the overall corridor, the project improves safety, reliability, and connectivity for the surrounding community. FPA provided comprehensive design services for the project, including bridge and roadway design, environmental permitting, geotechnical engineering, traffic engineering, and more.

The Multipurpose Community Venue and Student Center project on the Middlesex County College campus completes a major development in the County’s Community, Innovation, and Opportunity (CIO) Strategic Investment Plan. The Multipurpose Community Venue includes a 3,500-seat facility designed for a variety of large-scale events such as concerts and sports events including baseball, soccer, and lacrosse. The Student Center, a 30,000 square foot hub, includes game rooms, meeting spaces, study rooms, and a restaurant, and will become a core area for student culture. FPA provided comprehensive site design services throughout the nearly 34-acre site, including improvements to the water and sewer utility services, demolition of existing buildings, site grading and stormwater management design, improvements to the campus parking facilities, landscape design for tree replacement, amongst other typical site improvements.
